Trust Amendments

Throughout your life, your personal situation and your estate specifics will change. Your AmeriEstate Living Trust will need to be updated when life changes happen. A trust amendment is a legal document that changes specific provisions of your AmeriEstate Living Trust while leaving all other provisions unchanged.

As an AmeriEstate Legal Plan member, the cost to complete all simple amendments to your trust is included as part of your membership. More complex changes that require additional attorney involvement are substantially discounted for our members (usually no more than $150).

FREE Simple Trust Amendments:

  • Adding beneficiaries
  • Adding contingent beneficiaries
  • Adding or deleting successor trustees
  • Adding or deleting gift recipients
  • Updating contact information

MORE Complex Trust Amendments:

  • Disinheriting children
  • Deleting beneficiaries
  • Assigning businesses
  • Revoking a prior Trust

Life events such as birth, marriage, divorce or death, buying or selling a home, starting a new business, acquiring additional assets, can all be stressful on their own. You don't need the added stress of a complicated trust update process. So, when life changes, just give us a call. We are here to help.
